Magnetic particle testing is a fast and cost effective way of locating surface cracks and other defects open to the surface that might not be detected through visual inspection.

The three basic mediums of tests used are dry powder, white contrast wet method and wet fluorescent magnetic particle test (WFMT).

Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) can be used to inspect welds, high stress areas or entire surfaces of any material that a magnet will stick to (ferromagnetic materials).

Our Inspectors are certified to CGSB Standard 48.9712 Level 2.
